Where does Your Money Go???

When you help the PTA with a fundraiser, whether it be catalog sales, eating out on River Bend restaurant nights or spending your money at the Cardinal Carnival, you can be sure that your money is being spent to benefit our kids (and the kids to come).  Our big project last year was the addition to the playground that was completed this past summer.  This year we turn our focus inside the school to work towards the creation of a third computer lab at RBES.  This is VITAL to our kids.  We all know that computers are an integral part of life these days.  To be successful our kids need to be, not just comfortable with, but proficient in using computers.  Add to that the fact that all standardized testing will be administered on the computers in the coming years and you quickly find that our school doesn't have enough computers to allow all kids to have the access they need.  As frustrating as it is, we can't depend on the state to provide the funds for expansion.  If we do, our kids suffer.  Therefore, here we are.  Parents who love our kids, working together to provide them what they need.  Over the next 2 years, the majority of our mid-year approval money and any leftover/unused funds will be set aside for computer hardware for our school.  So get out there and help us raise the funds we need!!!  Thanks!!
